On what started out as an overcast morning
the sun came out as the start of the competitions approached
.

The junior singles was contested by two very good up and coming juniors in the form of Ross Quinn from Nitshill & Hurlet against Liam Hart from Crookston with Ross Quinn coming out the winner by 21 shots to 15.
The Pairs competition was fought between the duo from Shanks of Charlie Anderson and Stan Esson against the pairs from Elderslie Wallace of Ian Kerr and Ross Scott, the former pairs winning 19-4.
The Secretary’s Singles was won by David Peritt of Elderslie Wallace defeating Colin Reddy of Barrhead by a score of 21-11.
The Triples Competition was a very closely fought match between Gordon Hurst, Martin Murphy and Alister Campbell from Bishopton losing out to the triple from Ralston of Kevin Langan, Craig Sinclair, and David Holsten by 10 shots to 12.
The rinks from Nitshill & Hurlet of Raymond Cooper, Tom McLemon, Andy Whitlock and John McKinven took on the rink from Neilson of David Reid, Sandy McArthur, Ian McDougal and Willie Walker losing out by a score 18-7.
In the Senior Triples Ian McColl, Billy Bannister and Ronnie Gorrie finished a one-sided event by beating Tom Forsyth, Duncan Murray, and Callum Mackinnon by 17-3.
And finally the singles competition was contested by two very good players with Linwood’s Colin Sadler beating Woodland’s Stuart Anderson 21-6.
The Renshaw Bowling Association once again thank the following umpires for their efforts over the day: Roger Black, Gerry Mulholland, Stephen Kerr, Mary McGroarty and Sheila Smith.
