More Modern Times

Now into modern times
The year is now 2023 and the Renshaw Bowling Association has come through a lot in modern times with the pandemic called Covid 19 and a time that saw people not returning to the game after the pandemic, shrinking club memberships.
In 2022 we managed to have a full green for the finals held at Robertson Park with John Gethin waiting a long time for his presidency. The same for 2023 with Colin Selvy from Woodlands Bowling Club coming through a very bad accident at work which saw him side-lined for a couple of years. The same the next year for Tom Morrison from Spateston.
This year saw other representatives from the clubs wanting to take on the committee positions.

2025 Onwards
.For the first time in many years apart from the Covid years the 2025 Renshaw Cup was cancelled due to bad weather and another date was found, Sunday 31st August, but with a different format. One triple from each club would play at Ralston, the club of the president, unfortunately this did not happen either.

Extraordinary General Meeting
An Extra Ordinary Meeting was held on Tuesday 7th October, 2025 in Elderslie Wallace Bowling Club considered to be the headquarters of the Renshaw. The subject of the meeting was to try to get people to take over from the secretary and treasurer who are both resigning at the AGM.
Only 13 clubs turned up and after a discussion a proposal from JG Fleming that whoever takes over as President would also take the position of Match Secretary. The position of Secretary is outdated as the Renshaw runs with the Match Secretary.
The position of treasurer at the moment has not had any takers, so this will lie until the AGM unless someone comes forwards.
